Why would I be interested ... ?

... in Christianity?

There are so many answers.  I could ask people to tell you their stories - maybe we will in future.  For now, here’s a three-point sermon!

Peace

Because you get to know God as your Father when you turn and accept Jesus’ death for you, and the sins, which separated you from God, are forgiven.

Power

Because the Holy Spirit comes to live in Christians.

Purpose

Living for Jesus, now and on into eternity.

... in Church?

It’s sort-of traditional to say that the church is full of hypocrites.  If it’s true it’s really sad because Jesus had some very hard words for hypocrites.  But is that your experience?  I’ve found really genuine, kind, welcoming people in churches.

 

We aim to for:

• Encouragement to be a follower of Jesus
• Warm friendship
• Supportive community
• A place to belong
• A place to believe

 

Find out for yourself, come to a Sunday service.

There must be more to life than this!

Is this it?  Has Christianity got anything worthwhile to say here?  The Alpha Course is a great opportunity to learn the basics of the Christian faith and see if it has anything to help you with these issues.

These ten week courses provide an opportunity to meet with a group of other enquirers, enjoy a good meal together, watch the course video and discuss the material - which covers all you need to make an informed decision about Christianity.  No question too simple, no question too hostile.
