Global Poverty Prayer Movement
The One Voice prayer week starts on Sunday 26th February. There’s a 24-hour prayer
and worship event at Queen’s Park Baptist Church in Glasgow starting at 8:00 pm on
Friday 24th February - more info . If you’re feeling really brave take on the Rice
and Beans Challenge. It’s five days eating what many in our world would be very
grateful for. Give the money you save to help them. You may find it having quite
an emotional and spiritual impact on you too. There’s the Carbon Fast too - Lent
starts on 22nd February.
Evening Services
A couple of weeks ago Nigel described the worship at our 6:30 pm services as ‘one
of Lanarkshire’s undiscovered treasures’ - it has been so good. If you haven’t been
along for a while give it a try. We’ve been doing some reinventing, the music has
changed a bit , we’ve included songs like Amazing Grace as well as the usual more
contemporary songs.
